The work · People
People, at ease.
Laura Rossi photographs people who mostly don't love being photographed: families with wild toddlers, executives who need a headshot before lunch, couples who swore they'd never do this. The method is the same everywhere: no posing, short bursts, real moments.
Families book minis and full sessions in the west end's parks. Professionals book headshots and portraits. Editors call when a subject needs to look like themselves, only in better light.

Twenty-minute minis and full sessions, built around kids' attention spans and golden light.

Portraits & lifestyle
Headshots that don't look like LinkedIn, and lifestyle stories with actual life in them.

Good to know
Mini session or full session?
Minis are twenty minutes, one location, ten edited images: perfect for a yearly refresh. Full sessions run an hour or more with a larger gallery, better for milestones, bigger groups or an at-home story. Many families alternate between the two.
What kinds of sessions does Laura offer?
Family sessions and 20-minute minis, maternity, individual and corporate headshots, and editorial portraits, all shot outdoors or on location across Toronto. Minis book online through the family page; full sessions and headshots are quoted by email at laura@sp-ce.co.
Do you photograph people who hate being photographed?
That's the specialty. Sessions run on conversation and movement instead of stiff posing, in short bursts that let everyone reset. Ten relaxed minutes beats an hour of saying cheese, for kids and CEOs alike.
Where do people sessions happen?
Mostly outdoors in Toronto's west end: James Gardens, High Park, Humber Bay and your own neighbourhood streets. Headshots can happen at your office, at an event, or outdoors with the city as the backdrop.
